Today we launched the first in a series of new white papers from RSD on information governance.

Information governance is emerging as a strategic issue in the enterprise as companies struggle at the intersection of content volume growth and expanding regulatory compliance requirements.

The challenge companies face with information governance is a vast one.  Organizations have many critical business systems and business applications, each with its own repository.  Retention and disposition policies, on the other, need to be defined and managed centrally.  And enforced throughout the enterprise.
